Keep the exact materials you submitted, and why.

A passport copy, DS-2019, I-765, a receipt, photo, cover letter, translation and older filings may belong to an application story. Keep the source, time and final submitted version together for the next time you return.

The familiar problem

A form has three drafts, the translation is in email, and the old submission is in another folder.

Give this matter a clear story.

  1. 01

Name the Package after the application or renewal, using the copies you choose.

  2. 02

Put local downloads into Packtell; keep the issuing source and date beside each document.

  3. 03

Keep draft forms, translations and reviewed versions related without confusing them.

  4. 04

Select the final submitted set and add the confirmation or receipt.

  5. 05

At the next renewal, review what can be reused and what needs a new copy.

Come back without starting from guesses.

You can return to what was actually submitted without guessing from filenames.

Keep this in mind when you continue.

If a file will not open

If a file will not open, check its device or storage, access and selected version. A visible name alone does not make the contents available.
